Partnership Agreement with Space Hero

We're pleased to announce to you all that, our Executive Director, Mr. Archie Forpoh, during the afternoon hours, has officially signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) between Innoignite and SpaceHero.  
Space Hero Ltd and its affiliates, a British corporation with its registered address at  85 Great Portland street, First Floor, London, W1W 7LT, Attn: Cliff Fluet,. 
Space Hero is a competitive global casting show searching for the next generation of space heroes. This exciting and historic endeavor brings together personal stories that will inspire the global community to follow the winning space hero on their journey to space. It is currently intended that viewers will have unprecedented access to a Virtual Reality (“VR”) launch and flight into space - all from the perspective of their chosen hero. For up to 10 days, fans of space hero will have around the clock access to their hero’s activities aboard the International Space Station (“ISS”), the highlights of which will be televised and shown in a unique VR experience.

Susan Brooks A. M. E School

As part of our preparation in teaching high school students on understanding robotics, our Executive Director accompanied by two Chapter Leaders and the Director on Chapter Affairs climaxed a 2 days training with the The Susan Brooks A. M. E School.
However, we will like to pay a special courtesy to one of our chapter leaders, in person of,  Geroge S. Borbor Jr., who made it possible for us to train students in this institution.

Muslim Congress High School

As we (Innoignite) envisage a scientific environment through STEM education, we have now set a strong modules in preparing the next-generation to succeed in all its course. And, we will substantially fail if we don’t teach children how to think Critically and Solve ill-structured problems.

Electronic and Coding workshop at the Amos T. Warner High School

In our quest to promoting STEM education, we have again concluded a four-day intensive Electronic and Coding workshop at the Amos T. Warner High School. 
Moreso, it was so incredible for students in Liberia to have a first-of-a-kind experience with Arduino, you could see the excitement in the faces of those students as they learn so many knowledge on robotics.
Hence, we introduced the Arduino Board to them and also basics electronic components. At the end of the workshop, each group came off with a mini-project.

Our CEO was able to signed a contract with one of the world leading company for the production of Electronics, Transfer Multisort Elekronik - TME. 
The Transfer Multisort Elekronik company has an educational program called the TME Education.
TME Education is a project founded by Transfer Multisort Elektronik sp. z o.o. Its aim is to engage young people all over the world in creating better perspectives for themselves and their communities by facilitating their access to electronic education.
TME Education has more then 25 energentic young individuals serving as ambassador for each country they are resident of and our CEO was fortunate to be selected as Ambassador for Liberia helping our organization to spark students in Electronics and Programming.

Biodiversity Workshop

On May 28, we have a STEM table discussion which was basically about how we can strengthen our country Educational System through STEM education.This was a short dialogue session, our participants gave their views, wrote-down their suggestions and share then with the team.
Secondly, our team held a Biodiversity session, discussing about some current issues that are threatening the biodiversity in Liberia and our participants where giving the opportunity to work in small groups, present their ideas and find solutions on Biodiversity. Views picture of both flora and fauna, used the Map of Liberia to know location of the various National park of Liberia.we encouraged our participants to look at the 20-year plan that the Government of Liberia has to protect and enrich Liberia’s biodiversity.
Lastly, during the Science session our participants explore science through a fantastic hand-on experiment ''The Fire Snake".

On the 12th of February, Hon. Joel D. Bropleh, the Chapter Leader of Faith Academy Mission School's Innoignite Chapter, conducted a hands-on activities workshop on building a spaghatti tower and chemical reaction.The workshop was attended by 20 plus students.

SALAFIYA GRAMMAR HIGH SCHOOL, CHAPTER LEADER.

Yesterday, one of our Chapter Leaders, Lassana Jawakara hosted a workshop at Salafiya Grammar High school. The workshop was attended by 25 plus students. The students were able to carry out two activities: building a pencil catapult and a chemical reaction.

CHAPTER LEADERS TRAINING WORKSHOP

On December 30, 2020, in our effort to Bridge the Gap between STEM Education in Liberia, specifically  through education, outreach, workshop and awareness. Innoignite conducted a Chapter Leaders Training workshop among 10 plus Chapter Leaders from both communities and high schools in Montserrado County and certified them to maintain and organize Innoignite operations in their various schools and communities.

On December 19, 2020, we held a firechat with Ms. Rebecca K. Fallah and Ms. Safiatu B. Narteh as panelists under the theme "Bringing the Gap for Girls in STEM Careers". The panelists discussed tips on how they identified their preferred STEM-related careers as well as, how they navigated difficult obstacles in order to land the career of their choice.

Capacity Building Workshop on STEM Education and STEM Lesson Plan

"Integrating Minds to Drive STEM Education through Cohesion"

On the 3rd of November, we organized a one day capacity building workshop at Ministry of Youth and Sports, SKD Sports Complex, Innovation Lab, building the minds of passionate STEM Advocate and STEMinists on the importance of STEM education and developing STEAM lesson plan and ended it with a hands-on STEAM activities.
From our survey today, we are certainly that our team is prepared to push STEM Education across Liberia.

STEAM WEBINAR

How to Develop a STEAM Lesson Plan

Innoignite in Partnership with EDUSTEM INITIATIVE conducted a one day STEAM lessons Developing on Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM. It was held online by Zoom.The training was conducted by well trained facilitators from Liberia and USA.
Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics [STEAM] education creates critical thinkers, increases science literacy, and enables the next generation of innovators and also puts an emphasis on preparing future generations to be successful in their careers. This training enabled our participants know the importance of STEAM education and given them the ability to develop their own STEAM lesson plan.

ARTS and CRAFTS CHALLENGE

On April 30, 2020, innoignite launches an Arts and Crafts Challenge. Participants created any paper craft of their choice, took a selfie with their crafts. The winner Socrates Naimah was announced on May 8, 2020 with a prize of 1200 Megabytes Data and Certificate of Merit.
